You can stand up and ride straight โ now learn to read the ocean. Surf left and right, pick the right waves, and start surfing with real intent.
Once you can catch and ride a wave, the next leap is understanding the ocean. In our intermediate sessions you'll learn to angle your take-off and surf along the wave โ left and right โ rather than straight to the beach.
You'll work on reading the waves: where they'll break, which ones to choose, and how to position yourself. Small groups of four to six mean more waves and more coaching, which is exactly what this stage needs.
Surfers who can already stand up and ride a wave to the beach, and want to progress to angling, reading waves and surfing with control. If you're brand new, start with a single lesson or the Level 1 course first.
Sessions run at Scarborough Beach on The Esplanade. We'll confirm your exact meeting point and time by email the day before each session.
